QUICK OVERVIEW
What to take away from the article
- AI needs the right business goals and up-to-date data. Turning on the function alone does not guarantee the result.
- Test the new options first. The announced pilot may not be available in the Slovak account.
- Monitor the quality of inquiries and completed orders along with the campaign price.
The most recent change: AI Max testing
On August 20, 2026, Google introduced new testing of budgets and ROI goals across multiple search campaigns in a single A/B test. He announced the introduction for September. It also expanded the ability to experiment with brand and site settings and updated performance planning. The availability status must therefore be checked in a specific account.
It is essential for the company to be able to verify the question: will a higher budget also bring other useful orders? Our recommended practice is to keep a stable baseline measurement, set a budget for the experiment, and write down in advance what we will evaluate it against. During the test, do not change the offer, website, targeting and measurement method at the same time. Otherwise, it won't be clear what made the difference.
The advertisement answers a specific question
At Google Marketing Live in May 2026, Google described testing Conversational Discovery and Highlighted Answers formats in AI Mode. He also presented the upcoming AI Shopping and Business Agent for Leads options. This is the direction of development and announced tests; this article does not claim that all formats are available to every Slovak company.
The practical consequence for the content is simple: on the website it must be clear who the product helps, what problem it solves and what the customer gets. In textile printing, it is more useful to explain suitable materials, substrates and the approval process than to repeat general "best quality". This also helps a person who comes to the site without advertising.
Backgrounds for AI are part of campaign performance
AI Max works with search terms, texts and landing pages. Google describes it as a set of features for existing search campaigns. Text customization and destination URL expansion have their own controls.
Therefore, before the test, go through the pages that the visitor can come to. Remove outdated actions and clearly distinguish available services from upcoming projects. When an ad promises a quick deal and the page doesn't explain the necessary background, automated targeting won't solve the problem. Also prepare policies for claims, prices and areas in which you actually provide service.
A cheap contact is not a good deal
Two campaigns can bring the same number of forms, but a completely different number of completed orders. Therefore, distinguish between new contact, qualified inquiry, sent offer and closed order in the report. These statuses must have the same meaning for both the marketing and the marketer.
Google supports the import of offline conversions: the result that occurred only after the original online contact can be returned to the measurement. The connection with the business agenda must be designed according to the available identifiers and data processing rules. To begin with, consistent records of the source and result of the inquiry can also help. What matters is the reliability of the data, not the size of the report.
What to prepare before the next budget increase
Choose one service with a clear offer, available capacity and an understandable ordering procedure. Only then plan to test the new feature. The following list is our practical suggestion, not a one-size-fits-all performance promise.
- Validate form, phone call or purchase metrics and remove duplicate conversions.
- Unify the meaning of quality enquiry and record the result of the offer.
- Check the up-to-dateness of pages, prices, dates and product documents.
- Agree on the scope of the test, the evaluation period and the budget limits.
